Andrew Goodman
Andrew founded Meridian Writing in the spring of 2009. He's been a writer since a young child but only really got serious about writing in the winter of 2006. He writes short- and feature-length screenplays as well as short- and novel-length stories.
He has a number of short story 'collections' available on Amazon for Kindle, was a semi-finalist in the Kaos Films British Short Screenplay Competition in 2009 and has a short screenplay due to be filmed by SeeView Pictures in the summer of 2011.
Andrew plans to have a novel uploaded onto Amazon by the end of the year.
He lives in Aylesbury and teaches Creative Writing. Andrew is our main reader and judge (as well as supplying the lion's share of requested critiques) and has the final decision should their be a tie on votes.
Jessica Goodgame
Jessica has now taken on the role of site administrator and she has the day-to-day responsibility of Meridian Writing. She is a teacher in Buckinghamshire and an avid reader of crime and police-driven novels. Jess is also one of our judges.
Claire Sullivan
Claire is another of our readers as well as supplying critiques. She lives in Somerset and teaches English. Her story preference is character-driven dramas and likes nothing better than a story with strong, well-crafted characters. She is a stickler for attention to detail and the incorrect use of the possessive apostrophe drives her to distraction.
If you want Claire to like your story then making sure your spelling and punctuation is correct, is a good start.
John Cantwell
John is another of our readers based in Birmingham. John offers the 'layman' objective opinion to the competition entries, and knows what he likes. More importantly, he knows what he doesn't like. If your story doesn't get going straight off the bat then it's unlikely to grab John's attention.
